The UCSF iGEM team this year is a joint effort institutions, educators and students from several backgrounds. The team itself is comprised of seven students, six of which graduated this past June from High School. The [http://biochemistry.ucsf.edu/~sep/ Science and Health Education Partnership] at UCSF put Wendell in touch with George Cachianes and Julie Reis, who teach a two-year Biotechnology program at [http://www.lincolnhigh.net/ Lincoln High], which is a part of the San Francisco Unified School District.
