We will provide this form to the teams in order send parts to the Registry this year. We are only accepting parts as DNA, in either dry or liquid form. All of the fields are mandatory.

Issues to figure out:

  • instruction on how to label 96-well plates
  • give instructions on how to (and ensure that they will) send me a digital copy of what part corresponds to which tube or give the layout of parts on a 96-well plate.
  • do we want to accept parts that are not 'selected parts'?
  • do we want to know which standard they used? In order to do this we need to have a list of standards...
  • IP/patent issue - could just follow the "Under Construction" idea and have greyed out text that reads: Known patents:

Please fill out all of the following information and then send your DNA in 8-tube strips or 96-well plate (provide links to ordering information for those two?) to Meagan Lizarazo at:

  • Part #: (text field) Or would it be better/possible to provide a pull down list of all the parts (or maybe just selected parts?) for a particular team?
  • Plasmid: (pull down menu with all Registry plasmids listed plus other)
    • For other, can we have it pop up a text field box where they can enter the name of their plasmid? (limited to maybe 10 digits)
  • Antibiotic resistance: (3 pull down menus)
    • Pull down menus include the following options:
      • Ampicillin
      • Chloramphenicol
      • Tetracycline
      • Kanamycin
      • Streptamycin
      • Gentamicin
  • Total ng of DNA provided: (text field)
  • DNA format: (pull down menu with options dry, liquid)
  • Sequenced: (pull down menu with yes, no)
  • Tracking number: (text field)
    • With an explanation note saying: (include carrier and number, e.g. DHL 01234567)

REMEMBER, do not mark your parts as available. This will automatically be done by Registry HQ.
