I am a senior Molecular Biology & Genetics student in Middle East Technical University(METU), Turkey. I was a visiting student in Wurtman lab in Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department of MIT this summer. I studied on the effect of circulating phospholipid precursors on gene expression in rat brain. I have also established an Inositol-3-Phosphate assay and measured IP3 levels in control and docosahexanoic acid (DHA) plus uridine monophosphate (UMP) treated gerbils. I am planning to follow a Master's program in bioengineering. My academic interests are nerve tissue engineering and microchip technology. I am a member of METUGEM which is the first team from Turkey who will be participating in iGEM Jamboree. | I am a senior Molecular Biology & Genetics student in Middle East Technical University(METU), Turkey.
