The iGEM 2007 Jamboree took place on November 3-4, 2007. There were 54 teams representing 19 countries for a total of about 750 participants.

Requirements
In order to participate in iGEM 2007, teams had to follow some basic requirements. These included:
- Project documentation
- Each team was responsible for documenting their project on the iGEM 2007 wiki. Teams were to make sure that at the end of the summer, the project was sufficiently documented so that anyone could see the progress that the team made over the summer be able to replicate their project.
