Publishing our findings

The team has made significant progress in modeling an epidemic with E. coli. Monad's bacterial growth equation was used to simulate bacterial growth and additional equations were written to simulate the lysogenic and lytic decision of E. coli upon infection via lambda phage. The model can be run deterministically or stochastically. However, it was found that stochastic simulation did not add significant variability to our model and deterministic simulation was sufficient to represent the data. A thorough report is currently being written to be submitted for publication.
