* '''Parts'''
+
-
** ''deadline: postmarked to Registry no later than october 19?'' (2 weeks before Jamboree)
+
-
** They must be promoted from the team's sandbox
+
-
** They should be well documented (deadline?)
+
-
** They must be sent in a registry-compatible format
+
-
* '''iGEM 2007 Team Wiki'''
+
-
** ''deadline: october 19th, midnight'' (2 weeks before the Jamboree)
+
-
** Requirements: The team's project must be documented on the iGEM  2007 wiki site with detail enough to replicate it independently.  Additional presentational information about the team - their story, the rational for the project, failures, successes, future work, etc. - makes for a better site.  Remember that these wiki pages will be the main source of inspiration for future teams, and having good documentation on them and in the part description in the registry increases the likelihood of more teams building on your project and your parts.

** Check out the ''examples of good team wikis'' page

** You can find info on porting your externally hosted team page to the iGEM 2007 wiki here.

* '''Jamboree Presentation'''
+
-
** ''deadline: November 3'' (at the Jamboree)
+
-
** Requirements: Each team is given 20 minutes to present their work followed by a 5 minute Q/A period, with a 5 minute setup period.  There are no rules besides those governing the safety of the audience about the manner in which the team uses the 20 minutes to present their project, although in the past essentially all presentations have been based on powerpoint or keynote slides.

** Be prepared to provide a '''PDF''' of your presentation when you talk for archival purposes, and be prepared to be recorded.

Competing in the iGEM 2007 Jamboree November 3-4 at the MIT Stata Center? Book your hotel rooms immediately (they're running out), pay the Jamboree Fee, and be positive to submit your team's project to the iGEM wiki before it is frozen for judging at midnight on October 26, as well as documentating your parts in the Registry and shipping them to us.

The annual Jamboree celebrates the culmination of the iGEM competition. All teams gather during the first weekend of November at MIT's Stata Center to share their parts and projects in competition for awards of excellence. Many teams leave as winners, but only one leaves as the year's champion.

Teams share their accomplishments online, via the iGEM 2007 wiki and the Registry of Standard Biological Parts, and through a poster and a 20-minute presentation at the Jamboree. The judging process begins one week before the Jamboree, during which the entire community evaluates each team's contribution online to the iGEM wiki and to the Registry. The responsibility then narrows to the Official Judging Committee, which judges each team's poster and presentation during the Jamboree.

In addition to the core Jamboree events on November 3 - 4 this year, we hope you'll stick around for the Registry workshop on the 4th & 5th and the BioBricks Foundation workshop on the 5th & 6th. The Registry Workshop will cover topics relating to models for Part Peer-Review and Registry2.0. The BioBricks Foundation workshop (separate registration required) will consider legal and characterization standards.

TRAVEL

This year over 650 participants are coming to the Jamboree, which will fill MIT's Stata center and many local hotels to near-capacity (the 3 cotemporal internal medicine conferences doesn't help, either). Make your reservations now and be sure to pay the Jamboree registration fee before October 1! Check out maps and get the details on Visas, hotels, and getting around boston on the TRAVEL page.

COMPETE

The Judging Committee is bigger and better than ever, the list of awards has been refined and perfected, and some interesting twists have been added to the competition this year: the online community judgement system and the introduction of competition tracks. But some things are tradition: the BioBrick Trophy will be returning from Ljubljana to be presented to and engraved with this year's Grand Prize Winning Team. Get the scoop on it all on the COMPETE page.

RESULTS

Check out the offical results of the iGEM 2007 Jamboree, including pictures, videos, and links for all of the teams. Publicize your team's success, then download our Media Kit and start bootstrapping iGEM 2008! (The Year of One Hundred Teams!)
