Help/Web Resources
From 2007.igem.org
These three web sites are your primary resources for iGEM 2007. As a registered participant in iGEM 2007 you will have an account on all three of these sites.
iGEM2007 Public Web Site
If you have registered and joined your team, you will have already seen the public site. This is where the basic team membership, team lists, and iGEM news will be published. Use it to manage your team members and to sign up for the Teachers Workshops and later the Jamboree.
Registry of Standard Biological Parts
The Registry of Standard Biological Parts is the web site for everything about Parts. You will find the catalog of existing parts including the parts sent to you at the start of the competition. You will also find your teams parts sandbox here. You can use it to enter and update parts as you work on them. The Registry has several tools for finding useful parts. Be sure to check out the help pages for the Registry.
iGEM 2007 Wiki
The iGEM 2007 Wiki is the communty center of iGEM visit it to find out what is new, to learn about iGEM and to share valuable information. The Wiki is yours to edit and improve. Do your part to make it better.
The iGEM 2007 Wiki is also a place to host your team's web presence. It is a good place to tell the world about your team. It is also a good tool for organizing your team. Check out last year's iGEM Wiki for ideas you can steal from the teams last year.
Your team will be given a pre-formatted section on the iGEM Wiki so that it is easy to find all of the teams. Use it or point to your own wiki elsewhere.
Single Login (Not yet)
One unfortunate aspect of this design is that you have three different accounts one on each web site. They will all start out based on the iGEM 2007 public web site, but if you change your password on one site, it will not change on the others. We are working on fixing this with a single login system, but it is not ready yet.
