 Controls were placed under different temperatures. Oxygen levels, light intensities and different iron concentrations. Different parameters we determined including Fe, pH, OD, bacterial growth, DNA and RNA, and protein fluorescence and concentration. These parameters were determined at different times.
Standardization of the protocols were made along the way in the experiments.
