Welcome to Edinburgh's iGEM2007 Wiki
Our wiki describes the two projects we have undertaken this summer, and the team responsible for their innovation. Follow the links below to find out about the University of Edinburgh iGEM2007 team and the two projects we undertook.
Our student team members in order: Luca Gerosa (Informatics), Sharon Wang (Biotechnology), Joe Rokicki (Engineering), Pradeep Ravindranath (Informatics & Biotechnology), Sarah Hollingshead (Biochemistry), Da Yin (Informatics) and Alistair Marshall (Engineering) |
The Projects!
We are currently working on two projects:
Division PoPper | Self Flavouring Yoghurt |
https://static.igem.org/mediawiki/2007/6/64/Edinburgh_DivisionPic.jpg | https://static.igem.org/mediawiki/2007/9/97/Edinburgh_Yogurt.jpg |
A signal generator device that produces an output of PoPS as a function of bacterial cell division. | We aimed to develop flavour and colour biosynthesis pathways for potential use in 'self flavouring yoghurt' & a plasmid which would enable biobrick expression in gram positive bacteria |
