The ETH Zurich team

"All E.coli 's are equal, but some E.coli 's are more equal than others..." The ETHZ iGEM 07 team brings their more equal E.coli with learning ability --- educatETH E.coli comes to iGEM 07...

The VGEM team (University of Virginia)

The 2007 VGEM Team is the University's first team and was established, organized and administrated by undergraduates alone. The team is engineering a microbial butanol production system powered from biomass and sunlight.

The University of Ljubjana

They became the reigning champion of iGEM last year after winning the Grand Prize and returning to Slovenia with the coveted BioBrick trophy. This year they are building synthetic defender cells to fight HIV infection.

The Peking Team

Students from Peking University and Beijing Normal University self-organized into a cooperating iGEM community and worked on two essential devices for bacteria to differentiate, develop and cooperate.

The Brown iGEM 2007 team

When the team isn't busy in front of a video camera (the team has published several Synthetic Biology -related videos online), they spend their time engineering a lead detector and a Tri-stable Toggle switch based in E.coli.

Davidson's iGEM 2007 team

Davidson has teamed up with Missouri Western again, building upon their bacterial computation work from last year (based on the hin/hix dna recombination mechanism) with a project to solve the Hamiltonian Path problem in vivo

The University of Lethbridge iGEM 2007 Team

The goal of this Canadian team is to create a β€˜bio-prospector;’ a microorganism capable of moving up a concentration gradient for a particular small molecule (theophylline), and activating either a metabolic or signaling pathway.

The Bangalore iGEM 07 Team

Undergraduate students from all over India spent their summer at NCBS in Bangalore, India, testing bottom-up design principles in E.Coli Bangalore has the special distinction this year of being the fastest team to send their biological parts to the Registry!

The Imperial College of London iGEM 2007 Team

The 10 undergraduate students of the Imperial College team are investigating Cell-Free Systems and using their finding to develop their two projects: The Cell By Date and the Infector Detector.

The University of Edinburgh iGEM 2007 Team

The Edinburgh team is working on two projects, a signal generator device that produces an output of PoPS as a function of bacterial cell division, and self-flavoring yogurt project, in which the gram-positive bacteria used to produce yogurt are engineered with a variety of flavor enzymes

The IPN-UNAM Mexico Team

The team is continuing a project they began for iGEM 2006 to model Turing Patterns in vivo with populations of bacterial cells.

Tom Knight, Tom Richard and crew at the MIT TTT

Jamboree

sat & sun, nov 3-4
The Jamboree is the culmination of iGEM. Lots of information is on the Jamboree Page, or jump right to:

news

The Registry has rolled out a new way for teams to submit their parts. The new Online DNA Submission form is now live. Also, check out the instructions and don't forget your parts need to be submitted (postmarked) by Oct. 26. more

iGEM in Europe Sept. Meeting

26 sep 07

The organizing meeting for iGEM in Europe will be held in Paris, France Saturday Sept. 29th. iGEM in Europe will promote scientific engineering education in Europe through design competitions in biology.more

The registration & payment website for the 2007 Jamboree is now online. Be sure to visit it to register your team before the deadline of October 12th, 2007.more

Are you interested in helping run the 2007 Jamboree? If you can't get enough of iGEM and want to get more involved, join the Jamboree Volunteer team. more

The registry's logo needs a makeover and we think you can do a better job - submit a design by November 19 for a chance to win a new Apple iPod or a Wii! more

Welcome to the iGEM 2007 wiki - it's iGEM07's online home and the place that all the iGEM teams share the details of their projects with the community.

The site will become more and more active as the Jamboree aproaches as teams update their pages. You can also learn about the jamboree, read and contribute to the list of iGEM 07 publications, check out the iGEM videos, and see recent news. You might also want to visit the Registry, the iGEM2007.com registration page, or OpenWetWare.

Get involved

Start a team at your school, and then stay involved as an alumni. Or volunteer and help us run the jamboree - we need lots of help! Or considering partnering with us as a Sponsor. So come share our excitement, and get involved today!
